Where and how to advertise an artist's website? - Mark - 04-09-2014 07:56 AM

My father has his website which features many of his oils, watercolors, prints and sculptures and I would like to know how to help him promote it.
He's not a social media guy being that he is in his 80's now. But, my idea was to advertise to his market of people who generally can afford a $1200 painting or $1700 bronze. He has some prints and giclee's as well. His specialty is sports but does other subjects.
Any help will be appreciated.
His name is jay o'meilia if you want to have a look first.

The best way to advertise your site is through facebook or Google paid advertisements. Or through the online communities on painting/ art. You can join many popular communities and social networking sites and ask people to view your gallery. This will create a traffic flow which will in turn spread the words to others. Also you could meet gallery owners and other fellow artists who would help you sell your works or display them at galleries.
