Why is Internet Explorer faster than both Chrome and Opera? - Cofi - 04-09-2014 01:28 PM

Both Opera and Chrome on my pc lag. Speedtest shows 500ms of ping on Chrome and Opera plus when i type in google instant search shows results after a second. On Internet Explorer , Speedtest shows 50ms and instant search loads instantly on IE. It's not a router/modem/ISP/Internet Connection problem apparently.

Why?
No addons/plugins. Brand new PC.

You probably have 2 million addons and plugins installed

I agree with Fola. Internet Explorer is usually much slower than Chrome in my experience.

Well if you are using one of the newer version of Internet Explorer the reason it is faster is because it is.The newer version flat out fly.I hardly every use IE but the other day I had to and I notice it was faster than Chrome. So I went to a website that test browsers for speed every year. For the last five years it is always the same Chrome. But this year it was IE not only was I surprised the the guys running the tests where also surprised. Let me tell you what is no longer true when it comes to IE. It's slow, no longer. It's less secure than Chrome and firefox, No longer true in fact it's much better than firefox and it's a very close call between IE and Chrome.
