Yahoo has advised they are aware of Contact issues with some users and are presently trying to resolve those issues...You might consider going on Twitter/Facebook as they post updates.

Marilyn, Y agrees that this is a "bug" in the system and is working now to resolve it. In the interim, 1 Y/A responder suggests this solution: Click on the word "TO" on your mail, your contact list will come up, place a check mark in the contact box, next to the name, hit done.
