Why is there hardly any African American emo people and if there is why do we barely see them... Media is pretty f***ed up if you ask me...

there are emos of various nationalities, color, or race (you name it) out there, however throughout the years since the emo subculture and music genre was born, its been created by and most commonly seen as white people. so thats why there aren't as many emos of other nationalities or color, even though others (that aren't white) have taken up that stereotype/lifestyle as an emo~

There are barely any white "emos" anymore. It's a trend.
And I know a few people who are black that have gone through the emo trend.
They were out there.

Their are TONS of Black emos!! I'm black kinda emo/gothic. There's a group on Facebook called "Black Emo Kids Exist" and it has almost 1300 people in it. But emo people don't really call themselves emo, it's just something people call you if you wear black and like band tshirts.

Are you a black emo looking for other black emo friends? Because your friends don't have to be Black because all emo people are so accepting because society already picks on us enough so we don't pick on each other Smile
