Internet Problem HELP PLEASE? - MO - 04-11-2014 03:50 PM

Hello all,
I have a Virgin Media router which is connected to my parent bedroom. I wanted to move the computer which means the router needs to move and the white cable wire which is connected to it and then to a white box which is on the wall. This wire comes out the box and then straight outside the front of the house.
I wanted to move it to my bedroom which is situated at the back of the house.
Will it cost to move it when I call the Virgin Media Engineer and will the be a lot of work involved?
Many thanks
Duncan- My computer cannot use wifi and so It is wired to the router how am i suppose to use that device.

It will depend on their service terms and agreements.

Yes it will cost and yes there will be considerable work involved depending on the layout of the house. Virgin will probably not do it for you as they have already met their part of the contract by bringing the connection into the house.

I would suggest a WiFi extender. I use this one with my Virgin connection...

If the computer is not using WiFi there is an Ethernet socket on the extender to connect the computer.
