I am trying to reduce the budget for my Google Adwords campaigns. What does CPM stand for is it cost per month? I think it means something else though? Any tips on reducing the budget?

M is the roman numeral used in the printing industry to represents quantity of 1000.

Hence CPM means Cost Per 1000 ad impressions.

Generally CPC cost per click, is a safer investment for an untried campaign, it insures you at least get some user action for your money.

Basic Adwords terms:

CPC: Cost per Click
CPM: Cost per 1000 Impression
CPA: Cost per Acquisition
CTR: Click Through Rate
ROI: Return on Investment
PTR: Phone-through-rate
CPT: Cost per Transaction

Tips on reducing the CPC/CPM:
Include relevant keywords in Ad Group & ad copy. Also see to it, that the landing page relevancy is high.

it is cost per 1000 impression, after 1000 impression you have to pay some amount to the google, normally it cost 5-7 dollars
