In the "About Me" section, your birth date and your birth year are put separately? Is this a new update in Facebook? For example it says:
Birth Date: "x Month
Birth Year: XXXX
Is this the format it appears in in other's profiles too?

Yes I have just gone onto my profile and noticed it. It has probably been there for ages but it really isn't a big deal so I haven't really noticed it. Maybe its so you can change your privacy settings so people can see your birth date but not the year or vise versa?
