I need details and examples. We have an online shoe store and we need to think of a way to advertise on little to no budget. What are some ways to get our site out there to the public for free?

Faceboook is great for that, so is twitter. There is no way to get free ads on websites so if you want free then those are your best options.

It takes a lot of time to get an online store out there so folks can find it on the search engines. So in the short term, until you get your reputation built up, you should list ever pair of shoes you offer as separate items on Craigslist. You can offer the CL viewers more info by linking back to your internet pages from within each item. The next thing you can do is setup a Facebook and Twitter account. Ask your friends to like/follow our pages. This also takes time, so do not become discouraged. Online marketing is not for the faint of heart. Good luck with you shoe store.
