it has been at least 8 months since I met him and he is moving and I found him on Twitter but I am afraid he might think I am some crazed stalker for following him at this stage in time and also that he might think that I am obsessed since I am friends with him on 2 other things? opinions??

I did this before, Its nothing wrong with it, its not weird, when this happened to me, and he asked me how did I find him on twitter, I just told him that his name popped up, lol.

Oh wow, seems like you are taking this situation too seriously.
Twitter has followers for a reason, and he wouldn't create a Twitter without expecting followers.
Stop assuming things of what he thinks and just follow him.
