What is a good instant messaging service? - Bryan - 04-12-2014 03:38 PM

I used to like google wave back a few years ago, for example I specifically liked seeing the messages being typed, and I likes how you could specifically respond to certain messages instead of just another message on the chat log. I like to have multiple conversations at once with one person, so it made it much clearer to follow what that person was saying, any suggestions?

If you are using from Computer then you can try Nimbuzz as at Nimbuzz you can use all of your instant messengers at once like : Hotmail, Skype, GTalk, Facebook, Yahoo etc.

Or if you are talking about Mobile chat then the best is Whatsapp. You can also try WeChat, Viber or Fring.

There's a new website called, GroupMe https://groupme.com/

It's free to use. The service provides SMS messaging for you to SMS with one or more people (great for a small group). The way it works is that you create a 'group' on the website. Then, you send an SMS from the website to everyone you want to include in the group. They simply click on the message to become part of the group. There is an option that allows you to just SMS with one person in the group.

You can send an SMS to your phone as well. And, everyone in the group can SMS everyone else. When you turn your PC off, the group still stays active.

The GroupMe program is very easy to use. You can pick it up in 5-minutes.

Also, you can have multiple groups
