I would focus more on essential business planning of which branding/marketing is a part.
Otherwise its the tail wagging the dog!
A business plan will identify market, opportunity, expected revenues etc. A quick google will find lots of places to help you create one.

ask yourself if you're fulfilling a void in the marketplace.
ask yourself if you have enough money to fund the business.
ask yourself what your challenges are and how you plan to overcome them.
