Emails read in outlook show as unread on iphone? - Justin Doan - 04-13-2014 05:24 PM
I am using outlook to read emails through a godaddy account I did not set up.
After I have read them, they still show as unread on my iPhone.
I am assuming this is because a server is pushing the emails to both devices but neither one is telling the server it has been read? Is there any way to fix this issue?

I'm not sure if Outlook will mark the emails as unread if you aren't using their website. You might just have to go to their mobile site (which is a pain). There might be an unofficial client that can show if they have been read or not, but I'm not sure. Hopefully Microsoft will eventually release an official Outlook app for iOS.

Seems likes you have POP setup. Unfortunately emails do not sync between email clients (Outlook, iPhone) if your setup is POP.
To have your emails sync you will need to set them up as IMAP. Only unlimited email plan supports the IMAP protocol. You can use the link below to verify whether you have this plan and if not how to upgrade. It also provides the IMAP email client settings.
