Selling crafts on etsy patent? - Sean - 04-14-2014 01:26 AM

I have a really good idea for a craft that I want to sell and make a lot of money. But I dont have money to get a design patent. I want to sell this idea on Etsy but I am worried that a big company will steal my idea. What should I do?> thank you

There are probably few patented products sold on Etsy, creative works might be covered by easier to get copyrights, too often patent documents are actually used as plans for copycats who make enough changes to not be a violation, being recognized as the original in the field may be as good as a patent, coining a unique brand name may be the most practical aspect you could protect with a copyright.

I make and sell my own ideas without patents I thought that would be bad but nobody copied yet just get it out there first and start making money and list them all over like youtube to reveal it and sell them on etsy, yorbin and ebay
