If you are catering to a local retail audience, you certainly want a Google places page (now called a maps page?) http://google.com/plcesforbusiness/ which is the easiest way to be seen in local searches.

Try searching something like jacuzzi, your city, the A-G labeled stick pin symbols are local results, you can add text pictures and video to that page where customers might occasionally leave reviews, these search results most often link to a company seb site, who's search ranking effects the position of the places page in searchers, as may the number of citations in various online business directories, many free.
