Where can i find a website developer that can make me a website comparable to sites like facebook, twitter etc? - Omar J - 04-14-2014 02:19 PM

I need to know where the best place to find a website developer that can make me a website that is comparable to the complexity of something such as facebook.. I'm not looking to recreate another facebook just looking to create something new that would have software with some of the abilities of facebook.. there are a ton of website developers out there just hoping to be able to narrow it down. I realize it'd be expensive but that's not the issue, thanks in advance for your help!

You might have to hire a couple of developers. Usually we specialize in either programming or design. I specialize in programming, and could develop all the applications for you. You'd have to bring in a designer to make it look pretty; someone with a better sense for visual styles, colours, layouts, etc.

There is no such thing.
You need to learn how to write code, and the only thing similar to what you're asking would be a framework that, in a nutshell, reduces a lot of code.

That's how it is, if you're still interested in learning how to write code, read about some web programming language (I'd recommend PHP since it's free), some DBMS (like MySQL, which is also free), security, networking, etc.
If you work hard, give it 2~3 years and you're ready to make such a page.

You would certainly need developers, plural. More than 2.

Twitter has over 140 employees, most of those are on the technical side. Facebook is even bigger.

Finding web developers is easy. Finding good web developers is rather difficult.
