Why on my computer I can not type in password with Internet Explorer, but I can do so with Safari? - Rakesh - 04-15-2014 04:46 AM

I use IE 10 and Safari as browsers on my home computer.

For the last few days, when I go to yahoo Canada (or yahoo of any country) to try to log in on my computer using IE, I can type in my user id, but I can not even type in one character of my password.

This problem only takes place when I use IE on my computer. It does not take place when i use safari on my computer. It does not take place when using an earlier version of IE on work computers (we do not have IE 10 installed at work).

This problem on my computer is not specific to the yahoo web site. I can replicate the same problem when going onto many other web sites (whether travel related, financial related) with IE 10 on my home computer (but not with safari on my home computer).

In internet options, security, try disabling Protected mode; if no success, try setting IE on Default level.

I would say see if Submit non encrypted form data was enabled in Security tab, custom level, but you can enter your id.

I assume your IE 10 is updated.

I'm using IE 10.
