How would I put something interactive on my website? - James - 04-15-2014 03:18 PM

I am looking to start a website with one huge globe divided into individual squares you could click on. I would love for it to act like Google earth when you zoom out and can freely move in any direction. My HUGE hurdle is that im not exactly the best at computer and that’s me being optimistic Sad. I am willing to learn however I have no idea who to consult or how much it would cost me to run. Any suggestions on my topic would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

something that interactive would take months and probably 5k to set up..... its really quite complicated and a licensed programmer would need to do it.

If you were a competent coder you could use all free open source tools to create a 3D flash thing using Actionscript (like java) to program it, actually you can find source code of a working one you could modify.

http://www.revolvermaps.com/ is an interesting ready made example.
