I have latest version of whatsapp installed with active 3g plan. All other applications like email, twitter works over 3g connection but whatsapp only works when I'm connected to Wi-Fi. What could be an issue?

Maybe its the type of phone you have. I know someone with a Nokia windows phone and there whatsapp only works on WiFi. I have an iPhone 4s and whatsapp works with 3g for me.
