Many people suggest you use Google webmaster tools, however I do not!

I use two really great choices that do not cause a site loading time increase, but give me all the info I need.

IF your site is hard coded, use a company called Site Meter, it is a small javascript that is place before the last body tag. it can be found here:

http://sitemeter.com

If your site is a WordPress the use the Counterize Plugin available through your add plugins feature

Google analytics may be the most sophisticated free tool, good for ecommerce sites that need to monitor user behavior in greater detail. The simpler free version of Statcounter.com may do, they provide step-by step install instructions you could just have a displayed hit counter or have an invisible one and check stats on a control panel, it includes a map showing the countries visitors have come from.

You can use a combination of Google Analytics and your cPanel "AwStats". GA is much better, but they can't track certain types of traffic which is annoying. Both services are free.

You can setup a google analytics account for your website and then you will able to see the how many numbers of visitors are coming from which country... You can also track your visitors behavior towards your website..
