My boyfriend lives near LA, and I hope to move there with him someday, so I'd like to keep-up with news near where he lives - US in general, Californian and LA news - as politically I'm left-wing/centre-left I'd prefer a news source that isn't too right-wing.
Ideally I'd like to find blogs and Facebook groups as news sources as it's easier for me to check these daily along with my other blogs and pages on Facebook.
Any suggestions?

The best website for California news - http://www.sfgate.com
The LA Times' website has more Southern CA news, but it's such a complete mess that it's difficult to find anything.
