Virgin Mobile, and Twitter? - Tyler - 10-15-2012 08:58 PM

i've got a plan with virgin (Canada).... uhm, but i dont know if it's got a specific name, but it's the one with unlimited free texts

and i was wondering if anyone knew what they charge for using twitter? i'll probably call them and ask as well, but just incase they give me a load of marketing BS, it would be nice to have some actual people tell me

now, im not sure how twittering from the phone works, if you just text your tweet to a certain phone number or what << in which case i would think it would be no charge is i have free texting

meh, can anyone help?

As long as you have an unlimited, free text option for your plan, you're all good. This doesn't cost extra unless text isn't included in your plan

In my situation, I have 50 texts per month, so I limit my texting to that number, but I still update my Twitter statuses every now and then from my phone.

How to set it up:
From your Twitter profile, or any page, go to Settings.
Select the Devices tab
And enter in your provider and phone number.
You may have to send a confirmation code in order for you to start updating from your phone.
Once that's done, text all your updates to 21212; you may also subscribe to updates from your friends or other people you follow!

Example:
To: 21212;
Message: Just finished getting a haircut, on my way home!

If you have unlimited texts there is no charge, because you just text a number and it forwards it to your timeline.
