How can I restore Firefox to normal? - wolf - 04-17-2014 07:30 AM

I did something to my Firefox browser and don't know how to fix it.

The tabs have scaled down to the new style, which I hate, and my bookmark toolbar has disappeared even though they are still 'there' hidden under 'BookmarksToolbar' drop down menu. I don't know what that big space is either, underneath the address bar where the bookmarks used to be.

How can I restore it back to normal?

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

... or just switch to Google Chrome. Smile

If a reset doesn't work I wound un install and re install latest version, when you un install you get the option to remove all or not, and on re install I don't import anything from other browser's, I use IE 11 and FF Ver. 27 with no issues , remember 1 must be a dedicated default browser, to avoid confusion in the PC/Laptop, doesn't matter which one, you watch them install they all want to be default?
