Twitter is a social network ,people use it for:promotion of their blogs,business,what they find new and interesting on web,discuss about everything they want in the way they want.You can choose a field that you are interested in like celebrities,body,make-up,diet or computers,tech,business etc and try to find people similar to your tastes,that are interested in you and follow them.

Twitter is like using the status messages on MySpace and FaceBook, except users post these statuses, "tweets", more frequently. You can update it from Twitter.com or from your mobile phone. You have to make an account on Twitter to do so. You can "follow" other users, which means you will receive their tweets, on your bulletin board/main page sortof thing, and there's the option to receive certain users' tweets via text message. It's fun!
