I myself like this name & its meaning.It's a nice name.And also I myself don't like use a girl name for a boy.
Nova :
A star that suddenly becomes much brighter and then gradually returns to its original brightness over a period of weeks to years.

I think of it as feminine. Nova on a boy sounds ridiculous, like Harper on a girl. *Waits for everyone to disagree with me*

Have you ever seen the original "Planet of the Apes" movie? There was a girl in that movie named Nova.....notice everyone here is saying GIRL. Nova does not sound right for a boy.
