match.com. Is there any way to block this particular ad? - Peter - 04-18-2014 04:51 AM

I don't mind most of the advertising, but I'm tired of getting the ugly faces from match.com scrolling up the side of the page when I'm typing my e-mails. Is there any way to block this particular ad?

I am on Firefox and use their ad blocker. Now I hardly get any adverts.

Fire fox add-ons is a good option.

The right browser and blocking plugin helps but won't stop all of them, ads finance Gmail.

You might have noticed ads 'stalking' you after having visited a store site, if you ever visited Match.com you might be getting re-targeting ads beckoning you back. Clearing your cookies can eliminate those repeating ads (though it might erase some useful site shortcuts as well if you erase all cookies)

Cookies are bookmark notes of sorts sites leave in your browser for themselves.
