Means should I look on page rank or domain authority when buying on Godaddy.com for my SEO purposes.

I think you should definitely focus on PR. PR is the marking / ranking, google is giving to a particular site, and DA and PA is an assumption from SEOMOZ to identify how google is treating the site. But this is true that there are lots of other factors available for SEO, but between this two I will definitely suggest to focus on PR.
