I had it turned off from before and now it looks like they changed it, so that when you log into your account, it comes on no matter what. I tried to disable it but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

You either have the choice of using a alternate way, hiding it or removing it completely.

you can't. Everyone else is complaining about it too right now, so we'll have to wait until the Facebook developers "fix" this.
