Should I be worried about lots of people knowing my name/email? - Cody - 04-21-2014 07:39 AM

Hello, I have signed up for 500+ websites over time with my email and name and in which I'm starting to worry about so many people/websites knowing my email and first and last name. Nothing bad has happened and my email is perfectly spam free.

But Is it bad for thousands of people to know my name and what can they do with it, if so is there any ways to fix this problem to this degree.

I don't see how this would be a problem. Consider yourself lucky that you are spam free. If you are worried about people breaking into your email account, then maintain strong password practices.

Theres nothing you can really do with a persos name these days. You can flip thru the phone book and find any name you want. Just make sure you email un/pw is totally different from you bank account and delete any email that has your un/ pw for your bank account out of your email.

You can get pretty much anyone's name and email address these days.

What is IMPORTANT is to keep your email password secure. If someone gets in your email they can email your bank or any site you are affiliated with and verify all types of things though email.
