Do Affiliate links Affect Website Rankings ? - Shahid - 04-21-2014 11:23 AM

Hi All Webmaster I want to ask one question that : How Affiliate links can affect your website rankings ? Affiliate website is having alexa rank 222500 & page rank is 1.
I have my own website & I am seeing that 16000 links are from one affiliate website.
I track this data from Google webmaster . Can anyone tell me that these amount of links are harmful or not.
I have checked links form this affiliate website is dofollow. Will dofollow links can have any impact on my website rankings.
Should I make these links nofollow, should i contact author of that website.

Please help me webmasters. I am in dilemma.

I'm not sure, on principle Google doesn't like affiliate links but I can't say that the automated ranking system singles them out, more likely he added traffic reported by 3rd party services like Alexa are likely to be a slight boost. NoFollow were specifically t e used for paid traffic like ad network banners.
