my domain is mediacheckout.net
when i go to http://www.mediacheckout.net is goes straight to my website, but not when i type mediacheckout.net
what do i need to set the A record to?

Set the A-record to that of where your website or whatever online service is hosted at (i.e. A-record for domaindotwhatever = 120.32.13.42 = your website). Otherwise, just change the domain's nameservers/DNS to those of your service provider (i.e. website, email).
