My boyfriend doesn't know I know of his amazon wish list. I searched to see if he has one and he does. I wish to buy something off it for him for Christmas but don't want it to send to his house. Will he be notified something was purchased off of it? I don't want to ruin a Christmas surprise. Thanks in advance!

Just buy it like you are buying it for yourself. You don't have to buy it off of his wish list. Get it sent to your house.

Just "Add to Cart" from you boyfrriends wishlist
Every item in your boyfriends wishlist has a "Add to Cart" button below it or next to it depending on the Normal view or Compact View. If you click on that button and buy the item , your boyfriend will not know about it unless he explicitly changes the wishlist options to show purchased items also
