What's the fascination with Twitter? - Mike - 04-21-2014 07:42 PM

I was on Twitter for a couple minutes and it just looks like a bunch of kids making random comments, and celebrities trying to promote themselves. You need to seriously be a dipshit to care one bit about what any celebrity is doing, or think what you're doing is important, or think that Twitter isn't just a glorified message board.

I agreed with your statement. I just made a Twitter Account the other day and it is completely useless.

I'm on Twitter, not to tweet, but to follow the local and state fire departments' PIO (Public Information Officer) for up-to-the-minute information on brushfires. There's a lot of emergency information that goes out almost instantly on Twitter that won't be heard on local radio or TV.

It is just a bunch of people making random comments really. When I go on Twitter, I really am only searching for tweets about what some people are saying about something going on... like when George Zimmerman wanted to fight a celebrity, I viewed many Tweets seeing peoples opinion on the situation... I also check a lot of comments about the Raptors (NBA) game.

But I don't use Twitter much, although I've been on it more lately because it's the only way I can talk with one of my friends...
