Is there an RSS reader out there that allows you to view the content from the reader? - Gingy - 04-22-2014 04:57 AM

The only one I've seen so far merely kept a list of the content and linked you to the site. For example, if you were subscribed to a blog, it would take you to the most recent post from the website, instead of viewing it from the reader. Is there even one that does this? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm new to RSS and still barely know what it means.

Below mentioned RSS readers allow you to read content without going to website
Online: https://digg.com/reader

Depends on the computer and OS you are using.

Actually, it's not up to the reader, but to the site owner; most people running sites would like you to visit them once in a while, so they send only an excerpt via RSS.
