I am in need of a website or app pretty much like Facebook but not....I can't get to terms with blogs and think I need a more profile based one. Just somewhere to go to rant, share my opinions and thoughts and see what other have to say.
Is there anything out there??

If you want to post something and get others comment on it you can just start a blog in http://www.blogger.com
else if you want to start a social networking site, like Facebook, you can go for http://elgg.com/ although it need some webmastering capacity
