Rabbit health question please help? - IloveCatsMeow - 04-22-2014 06:18 PM

I have a rabbit, a dwarf i think, we 'fostered her' from this person that didn't want her anymore. She is normally healthy, but for quite a while her fur has been bad. By this i mean in certain areas of her body if you stroke her, little clumps of fur some out with dry skin on the end.
Sometimes when i go and see her there are just little fur clumps sticking out and you have to pull them out. She has no sores or anything and doesn't seem to be in pain, but is there anything i can do to help her?

(Please don't say go to the vets because i don't have enough money and don't say I'm a bad owner because shes not in pain, and i do look after her.)

Thanks Smile

Please Help!

It sounds life your rabbit is just a heavy shedder. If she isn't getting bald areas, isn't itching in excess. And continues to eat, drink, and deficate properly you should be alright. Let me know if it gets worse or changes.
You can find me on S & T Rabbitry group on Facebook. Just search and join. We talk about anything rabbit related. Goodluck.
