i was on twitter
and one guy posted "Eid is a official holiday in New york"
is that true? cuz i aint heard of that
i dunna know if its true
if any of youse live in new york do u know?

There are many Eids, there is no such Holiday as Ramadan that is a month

There were some plans earlier this year to allow Muslim school kids a day off on eid, but that not yet entirely agreed, as I understand it

Personally, the simplest thing would be to close schools on the two Eid days only, and then make the summer break two days shorter. That way Muslim kids do not miss class.
