It seems to me Facebook is a corporate nightmare of the internet age hell-bent on a single mission: assimilating the world’s population into a single social network. First instagram, now whatsapp. What's next? Will they attempt to buy Twitter? Google? Preparing myself for privacy breaches.

I think whatsapp will get even better now that facebook bought them, now they have more tech and money behind them to develop what they want.

I don't know what goes in Mark's mind but I believe most of the people who are on WhatsApp are on Facebook as well.
Why they bought it for $19 billion dollars is little unjustifiable but who knows what goes in Mark's mind. He might have big plan and it could be part of that business plan. Let's see what happens.
