So I'm releasing my very first CD that I am recording at home. I am already planning to get flyers and create a facebook page. What are some other good ways to advertise it?

ballons w/ slips of paper advert in them, or word of mouth.

1- Google adword for Advertiser ist good.

You can give out several copies of your CD for free to your fans or to some people who can be potentially interested in your records and can help you to promote it. Besides, you can create your page on MySpace which is a social network with strong music emphasis and so it is probably even better place to promote your records than Facebook. I would also suggest you to use Twitter and Google+ which are very popular and thriving social networks. Additionally you can use forums and blogs where people discuss records, music and other related topics.
