Do you want to change the world? - lola - 04-23-2014 02:43 PM

We are a group of college students who want to make en impact in the world. This is the beginning of a new project. Please help us to spread the word to construct a better world. https://www.facebook.com/seenoseas

We need one united voice for all our idea's that would be changing the law so that petition sites be provided and paid for by our federal tax dollars (I've collected signatures twice the last 10+ years ago,,,if we got this passed everyone could talk on the web about wording to get more movement its made into law.
The Venus project has great ideas yet as long as there is no united voice nothing can be done but prepare I'm working on steps for a aquponics system that will be low cost to no cost that's small enough to go world wide before well you understand
but we must lay a solid foundation and petition sites would be nation wide you know newspapers and News would announce what petitions are open for signing into law and approval
problem is each want their own tiny voice saying slightly different thing we nee one voice saying what it is we together want to say all how to put it in place fund it etc

Most everyone wants to have a positive impact on the world. The inherent problem is that we all disagree on what would cause a positive impact.

For example, one person is suggesting making a ton of laws via the government. I am quite certain that the addition of many laws would have more detrimental effects than positive affects. Some think we need to move towards global governance. I think it would destroy freedom. Some people want to take away guns from the public. I think guns are necessary to keep the gov't afraid of the people and inhibit the gov't from potentially trampling the rights of the people.

Some people think global warming is horrible and needs to be stopped right now with trillions spent. I think those trillions could save a lot of people if spent in another manner.

Fact is that college students are frequently idealistic. Idealism needs to be moderated with realism.

While I like your idea, I will take a wild guess that my views would be so different than the others in your group, that it may become problematic.

I am, however, pro-gay marriage, pro-choice, and pro-female rights, though. Basically I am for anything that increases rights.

I would personally teach my students to proof read their work so that they could make an impact on stuff instead of en impact in stuff. Then I would teach them that action makes changes, not word or words. Therefore, get to work on a project and see if you make a difference or not.

Change is not a good word to you right now. A while back we had this fella who promised us change. And that's all I got left. A nickle and a dime. And I am better off than most.

Quotes by H.L. Mencken, famous columnist: "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed — and hence clamorous to be led to safety — by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." And, "The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false face for the urge to rule it."

Just be careful that the changes are better for all mankind.

Yeah, every year, college students believe they can change the world. It may be a new project but hardly a new concept.

What are we supposed to see your nose as?

Listen to John Lennon he had the answer hence why he was killed by the Illuminati.

"Imagine"
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
