You could distribute some flyers, print posters and put them up in your city.
Or you could advertise on other sites, sending them a neat email could work miracles.

use of facebook where you can create your own page which can inform people about your website. Ask your friends on fb to like the page and also share it.
you can do the same with twitter or google+
Since it is regarding education you can get in touch with various institutes; tell them how usefull your website can be to students.
