Can someone describe a really strong person? - Rizalicious - 04-23-2014 11:30 PM

I'm doing a piece of writing and was wondering how I could effectively entice the reader to be engaged and interested in my writing by giving one of my characters a lot of description. I took some inspiration form 'Of mice and men' were the author uses a simile to describe Lenny - ''dragging his feet a little, like the way a bear drags his paws''. Could someone give me some ideas and try to incorporate some language features such as similes, metaphors and personification. Thanks a lot to all helpful answers.
Physical
If you could though please be as descriptive as possible in all of them? It would mean a lot.

The best example of a strong person that just crossed my mind is Bethany Hamilton
