This goes out to all the marketing experts. What are some clever ways to get new likers on your facebook business page?

Join linkedin. Do a little searching and you will find a group on there that has about 6000 members. They swap Facebook page likes. Costs you nothing.

Have a contest to give something away. Make people like the page to enter.

I agree with Dan, you have to give people a reason to do something.
It can be as simple as a contest or a free ebook just for clicking a button.
I click "like" all the time on sites just because I "may win" something
so......... if you end up doing a contest, link me, i'll "like" it lol

Literally just started our true social networking campaign and already seen a huge increase in traffic to the website with only a few 'likes' so far.
Do you have a website as well? Put the FB like badge and buttons on your website and at the end of posts/pages.
Ask friends on your personal profile directly. The 'recommend page' button is great but impersonal, ping your firends directly and ask them to show some love
Tweet it and email it.
Post pages and articles from your website to your business page on FB. Give the site some searchable content to attract attention.
