I know facebook only allows a maximum of 5,000 friends so that would be great! A facebook accounts with 5,000 friends! I want to use it for marketing my band
Have a myspace & twitter but am unfamiliar with facebook & don't wanna sit there adding friends! Thanks

Start a page, man. As many people as possible can view it, and like it. Liking is shows them all of your future updates on their feed.

Even if you could buy one- what makes you sure they would have any interest in your band?
Unless you could buy a site from another similar band and I doubt that is likely or it might piss off some people who were loyalists!
I think you should create your own for your band and as people see you play let them like you/ friend you whatever.
If you band is really good it will get out and also provide You Tube links etc.
Also it might help you to mention the name of your band on here- I love music and would take a look at it as well as many other people! We are interested! Good Luck
