I get an error message everytime I try to like a page as a business account. I am however able to like the pages when I switch back to my personal profile. How is that?

Most Likely it is a Issue With Facebook Try again later if the problem persists contact facebook

It's not an error, that is how Facebook works. When you 'like' a page by clicking the like button on a website outside Facebook, you are saying you personally like it. To share a link on your business page, don't click like, copy the URL instead and then go to your business page and share the link by pasting it into your status update. Hope that helps.
