Yep. Yahoo introduced its own analytics tracking techinique 6 months before.

I dont think so Yahoo has anything like Google Analytics.

You can sign up for google analytics which is free and widely used by webmaster around the world today. In google analytics, you get clear reports on where you get traffic from.
Or you can try Bing webmaster tools instead if you need an alternative.
