Help me understand PSP internet connection capabilities? Do you have to pay for the internet connection? - SouthernDude - 04-27-2014 10:23 PM

If your college has wifi (wireless internet connection) can you get the internet on your PSP from that? I know some people with Blackberry's and devices like that, that can get the internet on their phones for free at school. What about places like Starbucks?

Do you have to pay for the internet connection?

If the Internet is in a public area, like Starbucks (who says their Internet connection is free), then you can use whatever to connect (without charge) and use the Internet as long as you don't abuse it. So you should be able to connect at Starbucks with a PSP.

With schools, I'm not certain on the policy of use, but normally you should be allowed to use it. The Internet itself needs to be paid for, so schools may charge a little fee for students who use it. I think it would be best to check before connecting to one of those though.
