Paying for a SEO specialist can be very very expensive...The good news is that you can do it all yourself once you know how to do it...
Be careful in who do you trust, because SEO is the one job that nobody guarantee, and you can see your money fly very quickly....
I have been doing SEO with good success for a couple of years now and all I can say is the best guy out there about SEO is "Brad Callen"... He have several products in the market...You can find many of them if you do a search in Yahoo or Google...
One a like and use is SEO Elite...Check it out, but don't just buy it, first make sure that you really want to do SEO yourself....

I use Wilson Website Consultants, http://www.wilsonwebsiteconsultants.com, for SEO with my website. They do a great job and I have seen steady improvement in my pagerank every month. They are about $200/month, which is very reasonable for a quality service. And I think they do a free trial as well.

I suggest you go for Asian BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry. Check the website below. You can have a live chat with them for inquiries and more details. I know they are efficient in terms of service. I hope this helps.

I suggest that you use an SEO specialist that has been recommended to you by someone you trust. Just to ensure that you are getting quality. So ask your friends that have websites and have used SEO specialists in the past and see what their experience is

Otherwise there are sites where you can set up a job lot and people bid for the job. e,g elance or rentacoder. On these sites the bidders for the job will have their portfolio and other clients comments displayed

It's just a method of verifying that you are getting the real deal

Do a search online or get someone to reccomend a company for you.

To find a good quality SEO website make sure to ask and get the following info:

1. get references and contact a couple of them
2. Make sure you get a step by step SEO startegy plan from them
3. Find out how long it will take before your website gets the target results
4. Make sure you get an SEO website analysis and a list of suggested keywords for your website from that company
5. If a company tells you it will take 1 month or less don't use that company since the only to get these types of results are if your website is old and the keyword is very easy to reach and has no value.

Try this company, http://www.blindmonkeymedia.com/seo

You can get instant results if you have the right field or "niche". Here is proof of one of my first month successes, but this is not typical for seo. http://affiliate-marketing-forums.5staraffiliateprograms.com/general-topics-affiliate-forum/16898-great-reason-study-work.html

But, you do need to find someone that you can check out. And if the service is under a couple grand, you are wasting your money if you go this route.

If you have 50 to 100 pages, you should start seeing some return in the first 30 days for some lesser keywords and soon as the pages are re-cached after onpage is completed and it should have a steady growth throughout about a year to 2 years for the average site.

Never use e-lance or rent a coder, you will get scammed for sure, you can take that to the bank.

Check references, more than 3 of them, and check out the refrences good, to make sure they are not fake.

And the guys who are posting their affiliate links or their services here are not worth the click, if they were any good, their site would have good placement and they would not be advertising here trying to scam you.

Do I know what I am talking about? Do a search for "new york seo expert" in Google and you will find my myspace page at number 1, beating the daylights out of supposedly best SEO's in the country, and this is with a myspace page.

Visit the forum link I put there above and do some searched for my user name, check me out, go ahead, I dare you.

There is enough info for you to do the project yourself free, not paying someone and it will not cost a dime.

Now, I do not do SEO commercially anymore, so I am off of the market (sorry, just do my own sites). But there is enough info if you search my user name on that forum to do it all by yourself and have real success. Just read my post on how and you are well on your way.
