What will eBay do next? - proud mommy - 04-27-2014 10:57 PM

I ordered a phone from china and it would not charge. I messaged the seller back once a day for multiple days before starting a case. I have a 30 day refund thank goodness and I am still in the 30 days. The ebay sellers page says "Seller away will return Dec.6th" but today is Dec. 14.?? But anyway, I just want to return it and get my money back because I paid a lot for it. After making a case this is what eBay said.
"You have opened a case for this transaction
We're sorry there was a problem with your purchase. The seller has been notified and a case has been opened for you in the Resolution Center.
We encourage our sellers to do their best to work things out directly with you. Please wait for the seller to respond to the case before taking further action.
If the seller doesn't resolve the problem by Dec 20, 2013, and your purchase is covered by eBay Buyer Protection, you can ask eBay Customer Support to review the case and make a final decision."
What exactly does this mean?

It means that you have to give the seller until the 20th to respond before ebay takes any action. You should be okay if your claim was opened within the 30 day period, regardless of how long it takes to resolve.
