If you search someone names & criminal charges on Google, is that illegal? - thunderingable863 - 04-27-2014 11:03 PM

I got curious, so I decided to look up some old classmates I knew and crimes they were accused of/charged with.

I also decided to type my own name in, and I was curious if It listed a misdemeanor I had years ago.

My question is, by typing in a name, and a crime, does that appear to whomever is monitoring Google searches that i'm trying to implicate someone to be investigated?

We all get curious about people, and i don't what I typed to be mistaken for someone committing a new crime. You hear all about how Google, Facebook is all monitored, and all the time. I don't want to suddenly find out there's a new investigation just for typing in a name along with a crime..when all I was doing was searching. So, whats the legality issue about this?

Why would that be illegal?
