Hostgator Website tracking versus Google? - Bruce - 04-27-2014 11:07 PM

Hello everyone, I'm having a bit of a dilemna. I recently purchased hosting from Hostgator for my website bigbrucesreviews.com . Now in the Hostgator cpanel it says I've had a few hundred visitors this month, yet when I use the Google Analyticator plugin for the website, it says I have no visitors at all ? I'm extremely confused. Have I done something wrong? Or do all the visits I have just come from my Ip address?
Thanks for any help

Did you install Analytic correctly?

- Analytic records visitors, mostly unique visitors per day only. Unique visitors, meaning 1 visitor from 1 computer only.
- Hostgator's cpanel record visits. Those 100 visits might have been from only from you.

In other word, you've visited your website 100 time as recorded by the cpanel. Analytic only saw you, and no one else during that whole day, so it recorded 1 visitor for that day.
